In today's post, we talk about the problem with burnout. One sure path to burnout is pretending that we have no needs. This is especially common for the empath, helper, Earth type, who diligently attends to the needs of people around them, while ignoring their own needs. If we were shamed as children for being "sensitive," or made to feel that we were "needy," the shame keeps us pretending as adults that we are superhuman and living as if we have no needs.
